Welcome to the Falcon Cricketers Blog - The place to dish the dirt, bust some chops, and generally revel in all things cricket.
So far we have 11 teams in our humble tournament. Lets recruit more!! If you know of any one who would like to join just send me an email and I'll get them an invite.
I am hoping to convince my wonderful husband to brush the dust off his worm and get us some good visuals. Hold thumbs and keep fingers crossed.
Remember - the first match is on the 11th so you have until then to make changes to your team for free. I would also like to encourage everyone to make their team public in these early stages. I know that later on people get very guarded about their strategies and will want some privacy but in these early rounds I think it is fun to know who other people are rooting for. Just a suggestion.
So for now, have fun and start strategizing!! Katy

Katy, I haven't quite gotten over the last match, but I'm game to try again.
Mora, what a wealth of knowledge about all things cricket.
I've picked my team. For better or worse. Good Luck to all or you.
Missy Barnett
Ok, folks. For those of you who don't know yet, in the warm-up games played over the weekend, South Africa walloped Australia (screeeeeeeeeeem!) by five wickets and then got done in by Sri Lanka. Pakistan beat Sri Lanka and the West Indies beat New Zealan. No consistency in any of that so... game on!
Weather-wise, it's expected to be sunny and extremely hot (a dry heat, though) where South Africa meets the West Indies tomorrow (inland).
May the best woman win is what I say, Missy.
And I do hope that Michael is able to dust off his worm.
Moira
My worm is raring to go and so am I. I have an new strategy and, not to divulge too many details, but it involves not losing and such.
Good luck to you all.
Thanks Katy. I made my team public and then Michael told me I may be lucky enough to get a few points. Little did he know that I have made some very well considered changes and now I will not reveal anything for a while. Can't wait to see the first match at the Wanderers in Johannesburg, where we spent many happy hours watching exciting matches as a family. Who remembers Graeme Pollock in his prime - good stuff, eh Moira! Lovely to see so many American friends and family taking part - looking forward to getting your comments.
I guess I will go and make my team public but I hope folks don’t take advantage as Samsom’s Horse is very special to me. I’m not sure what a worm is but there is lots in this game I don’t understand.
