The Semis are shaping up
So, Sri lanka beat Bangladesh - no surprise. What was a surprise (or not after yesterday) is that Jayasuriya went out for a duck. Pakistan beat Australia with some wicked mid order batting. Misbah-ul-Haq scored 66 runs! Anyone have him? cause he's doing well! Then, Catherine I know this hurts, New Zealand beat England by 5 runs. We won't go into the gory details but the highlight for England was Maddy batting a 1/2 century. Anyone have him? The other up side for England is that their womens soccer team is going through to the quarter finals of the Womens World Cup!! So it looks like Pakistan and New Zealand are pretty much guaranteed to go through to the semis. England has to beat India and then hope that South Africa loses their next two games and even then they would need a better run rate than India and South Africa. So.........here's the worm:

Ouch! Not good for England. Who is Maddy?? I suppose they will have a really good game against India now that it really doesn't matter any more - oh well! I think I am going to support Pakistan now - they are looking really promising.I thought, for a while, that Bangladesh would win yesterday but Sri Lanka was just too strong. I am pleased with my fourth place though - just right for the final lap! So what does everyone think, SA, Aus, NZ and Sri Lanka for the semis?
How marvellous! Australia lost!!!! Trouble is, there's me stuck with Ponting as captain and not enough thingies left to change him. Well, if the Australians go home with their tails between their legs, I will consider that I have done an extremely good job and that it doesn't matter if Katy wins. In fact, good for Katy and everything about her, her family, her students and her life.
So, Cath, here's predicting SA, NZ, Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the semis. Sorry about England, but a girl can't manage Australia and England at the same time.

Moira, you are allowed a free trade - because Ponting is ruled out, they allow you to trade him for someone else without losing trades - now isn't that a lucky thing for us!
